Marketing-grade draft — a solicitor must review before launch.
Who we are
This site is run by Rise Development Co Limited, trading as Systems for Tradies. We are the data controller for everything described here.
- Website: systemsfortradies.com
- Email: contact.risedevelopmentco@gmail.com
- Registered address: available from us by email on request
This policy is written in plain English on purpose. If anything in it is unclear, email us and ask.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to send you something you asked for, book a call, or deliver what you have paid for.
The free training form
When you ask for the free training we collect your first name, your email address and your mobile number if you give it. The details are sent to our own Slack workspace so Jordan sees them, and to our email list so we can send you the training and follow-up emails about the business. You can unsubscribe from any of them.
The application form
If you apply to work with us we collect your name, email, phone number and preferred way to be contacted, your trade and country, how many staff you have, your turnover range, the hours you work and your answers about what is holding the business up. The application is sent to our own Slack workspace. We use it to decide whether we can help you and to prepare for the call.
Booking a call
Calls are booked through Calendly. Calendly collects your name, email and the time you pick, and puts the meeting in our calendar.
Paying us
Payments are taken by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details - we never see or store your card number. We receive your name, email, billing country, the amount and whether the payment went through.
Being a member
If you join the Owner Operating System we set you up on Circle, our member platform. That holds your name, email, profile, posts and comments, and what you have worked through.
Calls and meetings
Group calls and 1:1s run on Zoom. Calls may be recorded and transcribed so you get a record of what was agreed. We will tell you at the start of a call if it is being recorded, and you can ask us not to.
Analytics and advertising
There is no analytics tool and no advertising pixel on this site today. If one is added, this section will name it, say what it measures and tell you how to opt out, before it goes live.
Why we use it
- Because you asked us to. Sending you the training or our emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- To do what we agreed. Delivering the Owner Operating System - the calls, the 1:1s, the platform access.
- To run the business properly. Keeping records of applications, sales and support, and keeping the site secure.
- Because the law says so. Accounting and tax records.
We do not sell your data. We do not swap lists with anybody.
Who else handles your data
These companies process data on our behalf. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job.
| Who | What they do with it |
|---|---|
| Slack | Receives new training sign-ups and applications so Jordan sees them |
| Mailchimp | Sends our emails and holds the email list |
| Calendly | Books calls into the calendar |
| Stripe | Takes payments and handles card details |
| Circle.so | Runs the member platform and community |
| Framer | Hosts this website |
| Zoom | Runs the calls |
| Google (Gmail and Google Drive) | Our business email and the files we share with members |
| Otter.ai | Records and transcribes calls |
Some of these are based outside the UK. Where that is the case, transfers are covered by the UK's approved safeguards for international transfers.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a site puts on your device. This site uses the ones it needs to work - remembering what you have already filled in, and keeping forms secure. Your half-finished application is saved in your own browser on your own device, not on our servers.
We are not running advertising or analytics cookies today. If that changes, a cookie banner will ask you first and this section will list them.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the site may stop working properly if you do.
How long we keep it
- Email list: until you unsubscribe, or after two years with no opens or clicks.
- Applications and call notes: two years from the application, so we know we have spoken before.
- Member records: for the length of your access and two years after it ends.
- Call recordings and transcripts: for as long as you have access, and deleted on request at any time.
- Payment and accounting records: six years, because HMRC requires it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- Tell you what data we hold about you, and give you a copy.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete it.
- Stop using it for marketing - every email has an unsubscribe link, and that works on its own.
- Restrict what we do with it, or object to it.
- Hand it over in a portable format so you can take it elsewhere.
To get your data deleted: email us with “Delete my data” in the subject line. We will confirm it is done within 30 days. Anything we have to keep by law - accounting records, mainly - we will tell you about, and keep nothing else.

If you think we have handled your data badly, tell us first and we will try to sort it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Where your data sits
Rise Development Co Limited is a UK company and UK law applies to this policy. If that changes we will update this policy and tell the list before anything changes.
Keeping it safe, and changes to this policy
Accounts are protected by passwords and, where the platform offers it, two-factor authentication. Access is limited to Jordan Cruttenden and anyone he brings in to help run the business.
If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. If the change matters, we will email the list.
